Analytics starts only when you allow it

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which public pages people read and whether they open our documentation, pricing section or workspace. Select “Allow analytics” to enable it, or “Decline” to browse without Google Analytics. We do not load the Google tag before you allow it.

What is measured

After you allow analytics, Google receives public page views, page titles, basic browser and device information, a referring website’s origin and the limited navigation events described above. Google also receives network information needed to deliver the service. Analytics cookies distinguish visits and sessions; they are not linked by us to your ProtoScrape account.

We remove query strings and fragments from the page address we send. We do not send workspace activity, scraping queries, result contents, API keys, account email addresses or payment details through this integration. The workspace and demo do not load the analytics script. Automatic form, site-search, outbound-link and download measurement is disabled. Advertising signals and personalization are disabled in our tag.

Storage and retention

Your allow or decline choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. With permission, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies whose names begin with _ga, configured here to expire after 30 days without refreshing that expiry on each visit. Clearing browser storage removes your saved choice. If your browser blocks storage, the choice applies to the current page only.

Google processes analytics data under its Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from sites using its services for details. This notice covers public website analytics; it does not describe the separate account, billing or scraping data needed to provide the product.

Change your choice

Use “Analytics settings” in any public page’s footer to allow or decline analytics. Declining after previously allowing it stops future measurement in this browser, clears accessible analytics cookies and reloads this page. It does not delete data already processed by Google. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can use ProtoScrape without allowing optional analytics.
